Thank you for visiting our website and taking a few moments to chat with me.

My name is Bob Sylvia and I am the General Manager here at Hostelling International-Boston. It is the goal of our staff and management to make your stay in Boston unique, exciting and memorable. We hope that our hostel can become your home away from home for a short while.

To this end our Programs Director has tried to provide you with an exciting array of activities and events to take part in, our housekeeping staff takes great pride in making sure that you are comfortable and our front desk staff is very knowledgeable about our city and the many attractions within it.

Boston is truly one of the great cities of the world and, particularly so for young people. Our hostel regularly welcomes guests from all over the world and, on any given night, you are likely to encounter people from 20 or more countries. Please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to get to know and understand your global neighbors. I am certain that you will find that you have much in common with them and that meeting them will be an enriching experience.

There may be times, unfortunately, when we fall short of our goal and I hope that you will take a moment to bring these incidents to my attention. I can assure you that they will be addressed immediately. Hopefully, there will be even more frequent times when we actually exceed your expectations and, I hope, that you will let me know about those also.
