The United Nations International Day of Peace falls on September 21, and organizations and individuals around the world celebrate this day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace. For the third consecutive year, Hostelling International USA’s (HI USA) collection of hostels nationwide is hosting Sleep For Peace to honor of this special day, including HI Boston. Additionally, HI hostels on every continent (except the Antarctica) are hosting their own unique festivities – making it truly a global event.
In honor of this event, HI Boston is hosting a series of events focused on different ways to promote peace everyday. These events are all free and open to the public.
Wednesday September 16th at 7pm: Inclusivity and Safer Spaces: A Panel Discussion + Q & A + Mini Show
Thursday September 17th at 7pm: Film Screening of “No”
Friday September 18th at 9pm: Pub Crawl Challenge- Meet people and learn about different cultures!
Sunday September 20 at 7pm: Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation: Creating Personal Peace
